In order to recruit the most knowledgeable and enthusiastic people Service2Media is organizing App Challenges around the World.
Two of these App Challenges recently took place in the Netherlands and Spain, and in order to feed our organization’s hunger for R&D and Development talent, more will follow. Our goal with the event is to recruit top talent while providing entrants with a preview of the challenges they will face working on a daily base as member of our team. Pleasant but definitely challenging, with scope for the talented!
App Challenge: How does it work?
In order to win the coveted prize of a job offer at Service2Media and the 5000 Euro cash prize, contestants are given 24 hours with barely any sleep to develop an App that performs ten pre-determined tasks that fulfill the following criteria:
1. Functionality
2. Code conventions (readable code, how easy to maintain)
3. Efficiency of the algorithms
4. Usability of design and interaction (look & feel)
5. Robustness: the apps are tested
Besides the competition, we also look for social spirit among  contestants. Do they help one another and what is their contribution to creating a pleasant yet productive atmosphere?
