Good news for digital nomads looking for romance this New Year, Relatieplanet has launched the first mobile dating service in the Netherlands and Belgium.Created by Service2Media, the Dutch mobile innovations company that powers life on the move, Relatieplanet mobile is initially available for most standard devices including Nokia, Samsung, Sony Ericsson and LG, with an iPhone version soon to be launched.

With Relatieplanet mobile application, members can review dating profiles of other members, send messages and manage their own profiles while on the move.  A very compelling feature of the service is the ability of members to upload photos from their mobile phones to their profiles, creating a richer user experience. “Many people have nice pictures of themselves on their mobile, but do not know how to transfer them to their computers. With our mobile application, posting photos to your profile is childs play,” said Tjeerd Korenstra of Relatieplanet.

Relationship Planet is not only the most popular dating service in the Netherlands and Belgium, but is also the first to go mobile. The Dutch leader was last month named most popular dating site in the Netherlands by the “Website of the Year elections. “Through the launch of our mobile services, we hope to better serve our subscribers and retain our market leading position, added Korenstra.
